Worn by Wilhelmina von Hallwyl on the E. Boutibonne in Interlaken, Switzerland. summer of 1865 painted the portrait (XXXI: Ca2) DRESS Life and skirt. Of light red (cut) sidenmoiré (moire antique) with garnish of white bobbin lace on machine-woven tulle (application de Bruxelles) and white silk tulle. Hand and machine sewn. Life: Low, consisting of a strong sneddat front piece with the middle seam and breast seams and bottom with very long ears. Buttons in the back with hooks and eyes of white metal. Neckline deep, round, and life lower edge snoddad. Garnishing of a rounded collar, known as Bert, of white tulle. Sleeves of white tulle, puffed sleeves, short, puffy. Lining of glossy white cotton cloth; machine-sewn seams and edges pitched; seams in support of whalebone Skirt: Consisting of eight straight panels, machine-sewn seams, threw. Wide shoeing of white sparsely stiff cotton fabric, known as gauze. At the rear vents. Garnish the bottom of the skirt part of the six garlands draped lace.
