From the merchant's listing:

A very lovely original Civil War era mid to late 1860's hoop skirt one piece dress. It was fashioned in a very lovely French Blue w thin red and white stripes silk taffeta, matching black silk satin fabric covered buttons. This beautiful hand stitched home created,as I have not found any machine stitching gown has a long floor length very full hoop skirt (hoop not included and please be aware that the skirt is actually fuller than showing; I didn't have a full hoop available for photoing), it has a very narrow mandarin collar ,drop shoulders, fitted bodice with 4 metal stays, long tapered sleeves, black satin silk covered button front closure - only bodice opens.  The skirt is attached to the bodice with wider box pleats and fashion matching buttons do not have buttonholes, The bodice is lined in brown cotton buckram and the skirt is fully lined with royal blue medium weight cotton. The attractive trim is simple yet elegant; black satin ribbon that is gathered and ruched centered very narrow blue cotton printed trim.
This lovely dress measures 54" long,  a 23"/ 24" waist, 33"/34" bust and 18.5" long sleeves. In very good displayable condition; there is a few minimal openings that are very difficult to find, the underarms have wear and fading, and there is a few minimal small discoloration spots.
