In this image, you have what should be a typical scene from civilian life, and it is, but now civilian life after the war has changed irrevocably. There is a woman who appears to be in mourning being escorted by a gentleman in his uniform frock coat, a few more wearing their old kepis, and one figured prominently being helped out of the church because of his (presumed) war injury.
